Vision

A System Built for the Workforce it Needs

A healthcare system where no community goes without a physician because of geography, bureaucracy, or a credentialing system that was never built for the workforce it needs. We are building the world's first AI-native infrastructure that opens the physician labor market, bringing transparency and intelligence to how healthcare organizations discover, qualify, and connect with physicians.

  • Healthcare Equity
  • Workforce Accessibility
  • Rural Communities
  • Global Physician Talent

Mission

Solving the Physician Workforce Gap

FQ Match solves the physician workforce gap that limits care across rural, safety-net, and community health settings. Recruitment and retention remain among healthcare's most persistent operational challenges and for organizations serving the country's most underserved patients, an open physician role is a direct barrier to access. As an AI-native platform, FQ Match gives organizations a new, qualified source of physician supply: internationally trained doctors, rigorously vetted and intelligently matched to the communities that need them.

Leadership Team

Brad Becker

Brad Becker has spent more than two decades at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and entrepreneurship. A graduate of Northwestern University, he has built organizations from idea through product development, team building, fundraising, market adoption, and ultimately a successful private equity-backed exit.

Throughout his career, Brad has worked alongside health systems, physicians, and patients to address some of healthcare's most complex challenges. His work and insights have been featured in numerous publications and industry forums.

Over those 20 years, Brad witnessed firsthand the growing physician shortage and the disproportionate impact it has on rural communities and underserved populations, where physicians are often more than providers. They are a lifeline.

Early in his entrepreneurial journey, he met neurologist and fellow entrepreneur Dr. Anitha Rao. Although their careers took different paths, they remained connected, ultimately reuniting around a shared vision to address one of healthcare's defining challenges.

Together, they founded FQ Match, combining medicine, technology, and emerging regulatory pathways to unlock a new source of physician supply.

"The most transformative healthcare solutions are built at the intersection of policy, infrastructure, and people."

Built as an AI-native company, FQ Match reflects Brad's belief that technology can create transparency and open physician workforce markets in ways that were unimaginable even months ago. Much like technology transformed transportation and real estate, he believes AI and FQ Match have the potential to fundamentally reshape healthcare.

Dr. Anitha Rao, MD, MA

Some people come to this work through research or policy. Dr. Anitha Rao came to it through her kitchen table.

Growing up, she watched her father, a trained IMG anesthesiologist from India, sit for his medical boards, navigate a residency match system that wasn't built for physicians like him, and match into family medicine in his early 40s. He went on to build a thriving private practice that has served patients for over 35 years. Her mother, a practicing internist in India, came to the United States and matched into psychiatry, building a distinguished career in behavioral health that spanned more than 25 years before her recent retirement. As children, Anitha and her brother watched their parents navigate every bureaucratic barrier, financial strain, and moment of uncertainty that comes with being an internationally trained physician in America, and they watched them persevere anyway.

That experience never left her.

Dr. Rao is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained cognitive neurology specialist. She is one of fewer than 600 in the country, with clinical fellowship training from UCSF and residency training at Case Western Reserve University. She practiced as an inpatient neurohospitalist for over a decade and currently sees patients as an outpatient cognitive neurologist at Sutter Health in Sacramento, specializing in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

But medicine was never her only arena. In 2014, she founded a first-to-market AI neuroinformatics company that built predictive risk models validated by Fortune 500 insurance companies and deployed the platform across 100+ private practice partnerships in 30+ states. She later served as Chief Medical Officer, where she led clinical and commercial strategy across a 200+ provider telehealth network. Her work has been featured in Forbes, The Washington Post, and Alzheimer's Association, and she holds advanced degrees in both Medicine and Medical Anthropology, a combination that shapes how she thinks about health systems, culture, and access.

FQ Match is where all of it comes together. It is, in many ways, the company her parents needed, and the one she has spent her entire career unknowingly preparing to build.

Building the Backbone of Healthcare Access

Christopher Espeland

Christopher Espeland

EVP Growth & Operations

Christopher Espeland has spent nearly two decades building, scaling, and transforming healthcare organizations. An entrepreneur at heart, he started his first business while attending Iowa State University and has since worked alongside founders, operators, and investors to help companies navigate rapid growth, M&A, market leadership, and successful private equity-backed exits valued in the hundreds of millions and billions of dollars. Throughout his career, Chris has worked across healthcare technology, provider services, MSOs, BPOs, pharmacy, revenue cycle, and population health. Most notably, he was part of the leadership team at Nuvem, helping build one of the largest platforms serving Community Health Centers in the United States. Working closely with FQHCs, rural providers, and healthcare leaders nationwide, Chris repeatedly saw physician recruitment and retention emerge as one of healthcare's most persistent challenges. Regardless of geography or organization size, access to physicians remained one of the greatest barriers to expanding care and improving outcomes. That experience ultimately led him to FQ Match. At FQ Match, Chris leads growth, employer partnerships, and operations, helping healthcare organizations unlock new physician workforce pathways and connect qualified physicians with the communities that need them most.
